AND for good measure, it’s worth noting that 11/16 teams in the playoffs exceeded their cap space. The top 3 in exceeding? You guessed it… Oilers, Stars and Panthers 😒

7. When does the salary cap actually matter? If it’s just an “option” then we should exceed it… the Canes are the ONLY team left in the playoffs who don’t exceed their cap.

6. Why does the mainstream media hate the Canes? TNT isn’t as bad as ESPN (Don’t get me started on PK Subban because I cannot stand the man) but I don’t understand it. We win games (sometimes) but we don’t have dirty players… The fanbase is mostly unproblematic, meanwhile…

5. We have players just straight up not showing up and idk how to overcome that - I guess that will be part of the roster changes this offseason. Chatfield being the difference maker on our defense was not on my bingo card… but him being out is exposing the weak link in Orlov.

Also he just signed a new contract so that would seem foolish to me on the Canes part depending on what a buyout would look like. This is an idiotic take and I don’t want to hear it anymore.

4. “Rod should be fired” - This excuse is so tired and boring. Why would you fire a winning coach? Do we have a hump to get over, sure BUT - YES there have been some questionable line decisions and starting Morrow over Nikishin, but every coach is faced with decisions like that…
