I read this as a judge and found it to be a wonderful science fiction fairy tale filled with Heart and whimsey. @al-distortion.bsky.social has crafted a comical, poignant, heart-breaking sci-fi fantasy.

I'm learning to code, and making a game out of this short story was an incredibly fun way to practice my skills. I'll probably do more bite-size games like this one in the future.

Extended Forecast follows CAY-T, a tiny weather bot, as they explore overgrown ruins in search of the perfect gift to help their friend NEON connect with his crush.

Sometimes I wanna write something aggressively cute as a balm for the trashfire of the world, and this story definitely fits the bill.
