In the 11 years since the Statement was released, much empirical research has been conducted, and educational climates internationally have shifted.

And so AWAC welcomes individuals interested in this revision work to join us in this effort through one or more of these opportunities.

AWAC social media post that reads โ€œCall for Collaborators: WAC Principles and Practices Revisionโ€

It's been 11 years since the International Network of WAC Programs and Conference on College Composition and Communication endorsed the Statement of WAC Principles and Practices.

AWAC believes it's time to revisit and assess whether those principles and practices still hold true.

Our research suggests that a productive pedagogical approach to incorporating technologies such as VR involves understanding its unique affordances rather than expecting the tools to replicate familiar writing practices.
