I find it really funny that Karlach states, after witnessing Gortash in Act 2, “I wouldn’t have worked for a Banite, not even a decade ago.”
I’m stood there like - girl, you 100% would have 😂😭

Baldur’s Gate 3 has changed my life in ways I never imagined. It reignited my creativity, inspired me to return to art, and gave me the confidence to create and share again. But even more than that, it led me to a community of truly incredible people. 🫶🏻✨

Ugh - that sounds brutal 😩 A full-time job plus a side quest in commuting - I used to have the same commute time in an old job.
I’m glad the pays good - but I’m sure with the hours and travel it takes it out of you - and on days off you just want to rest and relax. It’s so hard balancing life 😖

Yes, I remember in my playthough Karlach proposed using the soul coins and I selected the “Yeah, but they’re people” option and her reaction was very much “I don’t care” 😂

And I think Gortash highlights this when he says “You threw your lot in with mine. Willingly.” Very much grey morally.

I say that as I think when you meet Karlach’s old friend in Baldur’s Gate, she says Karlach kept Gortash ‘a little honest’ and thinks started ‘getting dark’ when Karlach left (irl actually given to Zariel).

Agreed - I think he does let that out in some scenes, with him saying “You knew what I was. Yet you were fool enough to think the rules didn't apply to you.”

He certainly used her feelings for him to his advantage - although I do think he did have a soft spot for her.

I believe if you don’t give your Netherstone to Gortash in a Karlach Origin playthrough - he states something along the lines of ‘It’s always meant to be us’. I have the Gort dialog in my drive somewhere for different options you can choose, but it really opens up theories about their relationship 🤗

I agree - when explaining her relationship with Gortash she says he called her ‘perfect’ when they first met, she claims she loved him in her Origin run (as mentioned), and also in her Origin run you get more dialog with Gortash if you form an alliance that hints toward her feelings of affection.

The thing I’m slowly learning about coming back to art after burnout is letting myself draw without expectations and create without perfection.
