Four young children smiling and looking at the camera through magnifying glasses. Text below says, "Is it time? Enrolling your child in school for the first time requires documentation. Get a jump on the process by obtaining your child's birth certificate from the SLO County Clerk-Recorder's Office."
πOpen enrollment periods around SLO County begin soon, and if you are enrolling your child in school for the first time, youβll almost certainly need a copy of their birth certificate.
Begin the process of requesting one now through the Clerk-Recorderβs Office self-service portal at slovote.gov.

We love visitors of all ages, and some of our youngest community members stimulate the most thought-provoking conversations (how *do* you protect against Election Center infiltration by well-equipped ninjas?). In all seriousness, these boys brought curiosity and a great focus on community service.

SUCH a great visit and conversation with the Leadership North County group this morning. Nothing beats talking through the nuts and bolts of elections, which are remarkably complex. And this group had fantastic questions! Hopefully they feel more informed and empowered to talk about local elections.
