My goal at the beginning of the year had been to read 12 books over the year. Changed that to 20.

I love Sense and Sensibility so much!

It seems to me that progressive Democrats already are the center. The problem is that the Overton Window has moved so far right now that party perception is bonkers. Polls say that vast majorities of Americans want commonsense gun safety, paths to citizenship, abortion rights, education, etc.

The problem with Democratic Party is that no one takes them seriously because they don’t take themselves seriously.

You can’t simultaneously argue Trump is a fascist intent on destroying democracy but your major response is to wear a pink suit to a speech, and expect to be taken seriously.

As far as I know, a member of Congress hasn't been removed by the Sergeant-at-arms before last night.

Though Sergeants-at-arms occasionally dragged members of Congress IN TO Congress when needed.

This morning Donald Trump has further entrenched himself into autocratic power. He has declared that he'll stop all funding to EDU institutions if they don't stop "illegal" protests and threatened to expel or imprison the 'agitators'.

My feelings, as a Christian, on yesterday’s abusive behavior towards President Zelensky.

Measles outbreaks are back. Grocery and gas prices are up. Bird flu is spreading. All our allies hate us. Air travel is getting unsafe. The stock market is tanking. The government is about to shut down.

And he’s only been President for six weeks. This is just the beginning.
