Hi... thanks for that... just ordered those four buttons and large stickers I mentioned earlier for myself, the lady artist who owns this house, and her IT daughter in Bruxelles and her Italian journalist partner... so trying to spread the joy! :-)

If shipping to France eventually becomes realistic I would order four of these 1.25" with a pack of stickers.

Well done! You certainly look happy enough, but I think one never forgets the pain of the first completed marathon... the next ones are remembered more with pleasure.

'Tis tempting to 'like' everything in your posts... certainly makes a great visual change from the regular 'attractive' images most people, including myself, post. Everything my eye sees now is for editorial stock, but my heart craves the monochrome mystery images you find. Kudos to you!

Had quite a few cars in my time but never owned a Renault. Only foreign one similar I drove in the UK was an early Citroën 2CV with the small motor and then a Belgian registered Citroën Méhari which I'd obtained by swapping five Pirelli calendars for it!

A blue Renault GTL4 "Clan" in a parking space in the center of the small-sized town of Le Blanc in central France. In the background are other parked cars and a row of shops and office enterprises.

Spotted this super-condition Renault 4 GTL "Clan" in Le Blanc. The 4L had a 33-year production run from 1961 to 1994 with more than 8 million manufactured. The 1978 GTL had a 1.1 litre engine providing 34hp (DIN), allowing for a top speed of about 120kph.

An almost completed abstract collage in an art studio with many pieces of blue cartridge papers of different shades all interlocked and overlapping so creating an impossible maze of angles and zig-zag shapes. In the background a mugs of pencils and art accessories, more pre-cut paper angles and a roll of kitchen paper.

One of my several complicated collages composed of overlapping zig-zag angled shapes of blue cartridge papers. The original idea for the angled shapes is based on the fortified walls of the 17th century French military engineer General Vauban.

I was born and lived the first 20 years of my life less than a mile from this building... now The British Muslim Heritage Centre. Hasn't changed much since I last cycled past it probably 60 years ago!

Just read the 386-page dystopian novel "VOX" by Christina Dalcher in four evenings, which is fast for me; at times I couldn't put it down. Very disturbing and not a million miles from how some in the current US Repugnant administration would think and act.

A couple riding an unusual back-to-front tandem... the lady rider behind is facing backwards but the chain transmission is designed to help the forward motion of the bicycle. It is cold and starting to rain and the couple are wearing puffer jackets; the man wearing a red wool bobble hat. They are towing a small blue trailer featuring a stuffed tiger in addition to other toys with a Spiderman stuffed toy figure mounted on the front the bicycle. This was seen on a city street in Tours in central France.

Between rendezvous in Tours during the week I again heard a familiar "honk-honk" and managed to grab a few shots of this well-known couple who whiz around the city center most days causing people to pause and smile and offer a wave... sounds a happy scenario to me!

A 1927 Austin 7 driving through the central French town of Le Blanc, in the Indre department. This particular car was manufactured 98 years ago so will soon celebrate its 100-year anniversary. From Wiki... The Austin 7 is an economy car that was produced from 1922 until 1939 in the United Kingdom by Austin. It was nicknamed the "Baby Austin" and was at that time one of the most popular cars produced for the British market and sold well abroad; 290,000 being manufactured in total. Its effect on the British market was similar to that of the Model T Ford in the US, replacing most other British economy cars and cyclecars of the early 1920s.

Always love reading your excellent alt.text... for me it 'sets the scene' perfectly, especially at the end where you say "from a moving car" which make me recall similar images I make (since I don't drive any more) from moving cars, buses, trains and, in the past, planes.

I'm feeling increasingly tired with social media... every morning, scrolling, basically the same content... becoming guilty of that trend too.

Then I find your thread, totally unlike my posts, some entries I don't fully understand... but it jerks me out of my torpor, and I thank you for that.

Looks very Welsh to me... at least north of Machynlleth !

I does date me a bit though!
