Data shows that between Jan. 11 and Feb. 25 (the day after the invasion began), 272 shipments from Austria's Raiffeisen, Bank of America and Brink's landed in Moscow.
This was at a time when Russia's plans to invade Ukraine were hardly a secret.
In the weeks leading up to its invasion of Ukraine in 2022, more than $12B in cash was sent by foreign banks to Russia.
Shipments came from America, Austria, Switzerland, UK and Hong Kong.
