Glad that I only interrupted a ladybug's dinner.
We dropped WaPo after their last purge. Keeping the Times at a very reduced price (we'll reevaluate next year). I'll stick with @lataco.bsky.social and @laist.com .
When an incumbent chooses not to run, they don't give possible candidates an extra week or so to file? Maybe that's just a little local thing here, but I always thought that made sense.
Hoping they don't do that with the Metrolink lots, but I can see the writing on the wall. Also what's to stop people from showing up for a $3 spot rather than a $75 one? And I sure hope they don't start doing this for parades and special events. This would be awful for transit.
After reading the Metro presser, it's not clear whether those funky prices at NoHo apply to all dates during FIFA or only game days or after a certain time? Asking for people who use those Metro parking lots at $3-$8/day and work downtown or for the folks who like to take the trains downtown.
Only four so far. Hope to hear more at the Salon.
Not in City of LA but since we're surrounded by it, I'd love to see this happen. Holding my breath til noon.

Similar experience reporting a beehive at a Metro station just outside my city in LA. The form didn't like my address (NOT IN LA!). Got word it was solved (no hive). I went back with video (See? BEES), ended up contacting a CM office. Keeping people safe on a pathway to the train was a PITA.
But Hollywood is Win-Dow. And really need another coffee option at Union Station. This is so helpful.
Like I needed another reason to take the train.
Oh...sponsorship! "N" or "T" or "X" or whatever promo they can sell out to.
Make an earthquake for us!
Watching "Volcano" and realizing how long the extension has been coming
Taking "Public Transit is for Everyone" to a welcome extreme.
They don't speak for the residents. Esp the ones who don't have cars or try to drive less

On the Friday before Thanksgiving, LA Mayor Karen Bass announced that the first house had been rebuilt in the Pacific Palisades after January’s wildfires. She immediately faced backlash from wildfire survivors because no one is going to live in it.

Took the focus away from unique local businesses and kept wondering how many of the participants were paid actors.
It was tough. I understand the need for sponsorships and limited grants in the current political climate, but today's event could have been housed in an empty department store. Missed all the community partners and discovering the city itself. We left the route to look for murals.
I focused on the connecting community and got this shot of a baby's first CicLAvia.
Thanks for helping me realize we didn't hit 115 this year.
In our little city the waste management company gives us a small pail, which we take outside and dump in our green bin. Why couldn't an apartment building "share" the 90-gallon like they share the dumpster bin and/or a few regular ones, and simply give each unit a pail-sized bucket for inside?
Just trying to hold on a little longer to the magic. This is such a phenomenal read of all the superstitions I use and a few to try next year.
i have them all turned off and it still managed to break through
Split the fam. We got the birds eye view, and the kid got a shot from the office
