David Ornstein of The Athletic reports that #Amorim has told #Garnacho to find a new club.

According to Ornstein, “Amorim has informed his Manchester United squad he will remain in charge next season — while telling Alejandro Garnacho to find a new club.”

I do not want managerial changes every year or two. First, the deadwood in the dressing room need booting out and the boardroom needs to gets its act together.

So let us remember that in Amorims first season he booted out 25 Sporting players to rebuild & lead them to their first title in 19 years

Personally I do not blame Amorim. I blame the board. The culture. The players.

Amorim didn’t want to join mid season. Board forced the issue.

As for why the board backing Amorim…to save face. They headhunted Dan Ashworth at a cost of some £5m. Ashworth wanted Southgate. Berrada chose Amorim. Ratcliff backed Berrada. To get rid of Amorim would mean admitting to a mistake.

A further 200 jobs to go…

We need a clear out. They have seen too many managers off! Changing Amorim will not fix anything at MUFC!

As for the board, hope they sell soon!

Not quite. Managerial football contracts mean if a manager is sacked, the club negotiates a settlement % of their remaining contract. In Amorims case, that’s £13m. What Amorim said is, he won’t enter into a negotiation for a settlement, he will just walk.
