Vintage card with the message For A Happy Thanksgiving. The picture shows a small child with a large axe facing off against a turkey

Continuing the occasional series of vintage and strangely inappropriate greetings cards for Thanksgiving...

I would suggest that perhaps "For a Happy Thanksgiving" you should not issue your small child with a large axe and tell them to forage for their own dinner.

Day 4 Huskies I knew I’d regret consuming so much of the complementary champagne, especially as I rarely drink - only had a glass but it prevented me from sleeping, except of course when I should have been awake Northern Lights spotting! Breakfast in the igloo is a challenge. It is a lovely continental affair with holey cheese, yoghurt, cake etc. First I fling the rock hard butter on the floor, then I squeeze my carton of orange juice a little too tightly and end up with it in my lap.

This year was no exception and I was joined on Zoom by some descendants for synchronised cake making. Said descendants don’t make pudding, so I was on my own for that one. Last year, the first attempt at cakes was a total disaster but puddings were a great success.

Yesterday we launched our #Oakworth #Remembrance #Trail. We installed 96 boards on lamp-posts around our village, next to, or close to the homes of the Oakworth men who died in the first and second world wars. A QR Code guides visitors to their biographies on our website:
