We're all anti-ableism until we have to make ourselves uncomfortable to accommodate those who are not able-bodied. We're so not used to making adjustments. It is the environment, but it's also us as communities. Creativity to come up with inclusive strategies should also be our political agenda.
I had the best experience as a Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow. I hope many more people, especially from the Global South, continue to benefit from the intellectual freedom and protected time for research that this postdoctoral programme makes possible! media.leverhulme.ac.uk/video/leverh...
Just adding a little pic of last week's lovely event ☺️

The @unibirmingham.bsky.social held its 2025 Research Impact Awards event yesterday. It was a warm, welcoming and uplifting evening. I am humbled to be part of a group of people making a difference in a world that is becoming increasingly difficult to live in. Let's keep going.
Thanks! Look forward to any comments ☺️
Really happy to share this episode of the 'Talking about methods' podcast, at Oxford's 'Frontiers of Socio-Legal Studies'. In this episode, Professor Linda Mulcahy and I chat about participatory research from an anti-colonial perspective: frontiers.csls.ox.ac.uk/participator...
Tomorrow, 2 pm, online, all welcome!
The author of 'Victims and the Labour of Justice at the International Criminal Court: The Blame Cascade' (OUP 2024), Leila Ullrich, will be speaking to her book at Birmingham Law School and I am the lucky discussant!

With my brilliant colleague, @mattia800.bsky.social, last week in Liverpool, at the @slsauk.bsky.social annual conference. The joy of sharing rigorous anticanceral scholarship and collectively building a critique of human rights penality 🤓
Folks, I want to move to Liverpool 💞
Do come say hello!
