Secretary Of Defense Hegseth Casually Promises Iranians ‘No Quarter’ – A War Crime The term is defined as refusing to spare surrendering troops and killing them instead, a clear violation of the Geneva Conventions.

Hegseth spent the years before he was made Secretary of Defense defending convicted war criminals on the theory that virtually nothing is a war crime.

Trump chose him to be the civilian head of DoD *so that he would order war crimes committed*.

Everything he's doing is what he was appointed to do.

Remember when Israel still had the shame to spin lies and put out statements that the children in the yoghurt factory were Hamas or Hezbollah or whatever they use to massacre tens of thousands of children as Western politicians claim Israel's "right to defend themselves".

‘Worst thing I’ve ever seen’: CSIRO slashes climate modelling jobs Australia’s science agency is cutting more than 100 jobs in its Environment Research Unit, which critics say will crush our capacity to predict climate change.

CSIRO have now lost more jobs under the Albanese Governmet than under the Abbott Government.

We have to do better on research funding and backing our scientists.

I held hope for resolution of the whole robodebt scam after Catherine Holmes +Justin Gregory pushed to get to the truth
Yet the Alp in govt have again proved to be impotent

Corruption
Environment
"raise the rate" for jobseeker.

All points they played hard.
They play a great game in opposition.

I don't like weasel words from anyone.
Least of all where we are talking about following a "decision maker" like Donald Trump into war.

5/ And on the Strait of Hormuz, they had NO PLAN. I can't go into more detail about how Iran gums up the Strait, but suffice it say, right now, they don't know how to get it safely back open.

Which is unforgiveable, because this part of the disaster was 100% foreseeable.

Sure foreign policy requires keeping a lot of balls in the air.
But that is made exponentially more difficult to do whilst maintaining fealty to foreign powers by lying to the electorate
Most people would prefer the actual explanation.

It's not just that Australia is joining another American war, it's that we're defending the fucking UAE — one of the most evil countries on earth. All that carnage you've been seeing in Sudan? That was backed by the UAE. Those emaciated kids you were seeing in Yemen a few years ago? +

The wealth & power of the richest 3,000 households has increased by more than 500%

They are squeezing the rest of us through higher prices, manipulating supply, influencing political & regulatory processes

This is the source of our economic crisis in the West

Don’t be fooled by grifters & haters

Trump is taking America back to old-fashioned stagflation. It will impact us all — and our super balance Under the hood, the American machine is breaking, impacting the global economy and engendering uncertainty. Every Australian working through our superannuation funds can expect to be affected.

The US is looking at stagflation as the attack on Iran fuels inflation and unemployment surges, write Glenn Dyer and Bernard Keane. www.crikey.com.au/2026/03/09/a...

We could do with a new party which values the electorate and the provision of essential services over and above fossil fuel multinationals, wealthy corporate mates, and lobby groups !

Australia, where we had to have a non-binding plebiscite on whether to grant non-heterosexual people equal marriage rights because it was apparently such a difficult moral issue, but they can just sign us up to be complicit or an active participant in an illegal war (again) without our consent

That's right, Donald. We *have* seen this before:

✳️ 1964: Gulf of Tonkin "incident" ➡️ Vietnam war;
✳️ 1939: "Polish attack" on German radio station ➡️ WWII

Scene is a room at the White House. On the left, Pete Hegseth is lifting a weight with a macho posture. Marco Rubio saying "who says we DON"T have a plan?" while standing next to a whiteboard that has
"Operation EPIC FURY
1. Kill Leader
2. Win War
3. Collect spoils and peace prizes"
On the far right Trump is sitting on a throne dressed as a King, holding a diet coke and burger

The Melbourne Grand Prix is a massive net negative for Melbourne and Victoria!

"The race loses around $100 million dollars each year and Victorian taxpayers pick up the tab. That’s almost double what the Victorian Government spends on community sport."
