Taxes are DONE! I do them myself because a tax prep service cost us $700 2 years ago. Learning curve for all the schedules we need to file. Worth it. Also wifeunit’s business taxes and home office fundamentals don’t change dramatically year to year.
Post your favorite Lord of the Rings character. Wrong answers only.
Biomimetric is a real word. Never heard of “collaren” and “”chroniline”. Totally AI slop. I emailed the company asking to clarify WTF these ingredients are. I’m going to keep pushing it as far as I can go even though I know what’s up. Maybe this low effort will make a point (no. It won’t).
My company is finally having a big meeting again after a few years of austerity. They kept the location secret, but the rumor mill was right. We’re going back to New Orleans in April. Looking forward to seeing my team face to face again. These meetings are always fun
Every little bit helps!

Went to an actual third place today (Irish pub) and @drskorzy.bsky.social kicked my ass at pool TWICE despite me growing up with a pool table in my house and I’m only noting it so y’all know how sweet my revenge is gonna be when we rematch
Cant improve on this: “My life is a luxury, so filled with hate. I got 50 slaves heaping maggots on my plate. From my fortress in Antarctica, I watch the world die On my Sony Trinitron that's switched to Channel 5”
Seriously? You’re realizing this NOW?
This is the energy I was looking for in this hearing. This might be the greatest clip of a Senate hearing in history. bsky.app/profile/acyn...
"If I was to use ChatGPT for my designs rather than our designer Sean, that's taking money out of the local area into the hands of a multibillionaire ... removing value from the local community and local artists [and] into the hands of some of the richest people in the world."

I harvested one flower head by carefully cutting it off, putting it into a paper bag and shaking it like a maraca to hear ten billion tiny black seeds fall off effortlessly with a fun hissing rattle. That was way more fun than I would ever expect it to be.
I don't think it'd be remotely as delicious as that bread was. I have tasted garlic honey once. "Once" it will remain!
IF we had the ground space, I'd let them go feral constantly as a honeybee magnet for other plants. Though I'm not wanting to taste "onion honey". :D I have enough green onion seeds harvested to last a very long time.
Green onions get enormous if allowed to keep growing. They can be 3 foot tall! They'll eventually throw up a pretty white flower that attracts bees like crazy and produces a ton of seeds.
Copyright date is 2001. I'd never seen this before either. They had two copies, one new, one used. The used one had this personal charm of it's previous owner thus its now priceless!
San Diego Bird festival today. Lots of optics vendors = temptation alley. Found this glorious little used book for $2 that is absolute gold. Previous owner named some of the birds after people. There’s one in particular that is too funny! (My name is spelled different). Check it @rosemarymosco.com
Went to the San Diego Bird Festival to browse vendors and talk to enthusiasts, so glad we went! Got some cool swag too, especially from @monkeyminion.com 👀
Just finished In The Blink Of An Eye and wow, wow. Kind of Wall-E kind of Interstellar kind of This Is Us but with a message about the perseverance of the human spirit I so needed right now. Kate McKinnon in a dramatic role makes me just want more.
"Scrubs" reboot is a Time Machine. Transported back in time and it hasn't missed a beat. Eerily so!
That Springfield AR is an excellent choice.
Watched "In the Blink of an Eye" Kate McKinnon in a serious role. God she's SO great!!!!! It was fantastic. Such a positive, enduring message delivered so well. I had parallel feelings with "Interstellar", but this focused more on humanity. Absolutely watch this! www.imdb.com/title/tt6341...
The face I make when my garden seedlings sprout.
We're rewatching Frasier in its entirety so I figured I'd resurface this old fan art from 2008 (!) I lovingly called Scrambled Peanuts.
At Columbia Med. Another grad school colleague started collecting the empty crack vials he found on his walk to the lab. After 2 yrs he had filled a 1 gallon jug. Despite WTF are you doing that, it was more a sardonic milestone of decline. This was NYC in ‘89. There is nothing new here
Took this with my phone one night of my neighbor’s ash tree. The color the phone captured is nice. Three is reflecting ambient street lights from the street down the hill.
Things our household is NOT doing tonight. Watching 2+ hours of an orange clown speak lies and gibberish.
This picture of a Ukrainian dance teacher turned army sniper (Tetiana Khimion) hits hard. There is a lot to unpack in this powerful photo, and that she's only 47. apnews.com/photo-essay/...
