A little late, but the Oscar opening with Cynthia and Ariana had me in tears. Just stunning.
I don't know how he was so different from the rest of the family. But not a day goes by that I don't think about how lucky I am to be his grandchild.

Considering the state of things right now, I couldn't help but notice that he died 15 minutes before we got a new president. Pappaw hated him. He voted against him 3 times. He was 1 of 5 siblings & the only Democrat. The only one that wasn't maga.
My Pappaw died yesterday. He was 95. He was still playing golf until it got cold. We had one last Christmas & New Years together. And he didn't suffer long.
He loved his family, and his cats, and his Hudson Hornet.
He was a good & kind man. So much of who I am is because of who he was. 💔

Happy New Year! From my grandma's dog who came in our house at midnight because people were shooting guns 🙄 and he was scared and also thought he deserved some cat treats. He did, of course. Because he's the bestest boy.
