It's tough because most of their journalism is extremely good, but many articles about certain topics are written with a very clear slant. NYT is a behemoth, and often direction comes from above.

Trying to get my mom to understand that the NY Times has skewed, inaccurate, and harmful reporting on trans issues is so tough.
A lot of older liberals view NYT as a highly trustworthy source on all topics. That's hard to overcome.

Bandai has updated their tournament rules to ban hand shuffling in card games because of its distracting nature.
I can't believe they'd ban @bmkibler.bsky.social from their games. How cruel.
Avatar and Final Fantasy and LOTR got to pull more elements from the world's they exist in. TMNT does not. Spider-Man didn't either.
Admittedly, that's in part because they're both just NYC as a setting.
