A fav of mine (that I’ve been lucky to see several versions of) is Degas’ Little Dancer. While the story behind the young model is very sad, her beauty and grace have been immortalized in bronze.

My new love is the hippo, “William”.
The unofficial mascot of The Met, his gift shop facsimile will now have pride of place in my new office, in effect becoming the office deity.
Why is he called William? Read on to find out!

One of my great delights in ancient exhibits is all the “lil guys”. Although extremely significant in their time, depicting deities or offering protections, for us they’re more often adorable little dudes brightening our day.
Also, peep who discovered this hippo!

A delightful thing about art museums is discovering new favorites.
I have always loved the Impressionists & for me, Degas’ dancers are the best!
Below is my newest discovery in that palette: “Dancer with a Fan”.
