Handholding tomb of Ralph Green d.1417 and his wife Katherine. Made of alabaster in 1419 in Chellaston, Derbys at a cost of £40. Somewhat bashed about and I think that her hand has been remodelled. A beautiful piece. Lowick St Peter, Northants.

Red stone carved in relief with a beast facing right with head pointed back, portraying a lion fighting a serpent. Legs are highly stylised in Scandinavian/Saxon style, using coil shapes for hips and curves.

Bronze-gilt cross with the four evangelists engraved on its roundels and Yorkist sunburst badges on its reverse. The cross was found on the site of the Battle of Bosworth (1485), in Leicestershire, a decisive battle in the Wars of the Roses. Title

This Medieval processional cross is thought to have featured in the Battle of Bosworth: the ultimate fight which brought the War of the Roses to conclusion with the defeat of Richard III and the coronation of Henry Tudor as Henry VII.

A jackdaw perched on the hands of the original Virgin Mary sculpture at the apex of the mid-15thc porch at Burford parish church. The head is 2nd half of the 20thc because I can find photos of it headless up to 1962. And disappointingly unnecessary.
