What's hilarious about this is how far from the 'authentic' recipe the Good Food one isn't. Bar 25g of butter, the inclusion of which in anything always strikes me as a good idea, it's so close as to make no difference. As ever it misses the fact that all recipes are just made up by somebody.

The University of Warwick has paid a lot of money, I'm guessing, for their internet banner ads on the Guardian and elsewhere.

But they can't spell "curiosity". This isn't a US-UK variant. They just, genuinely, have a massive spelling error in their banner ads.

(OK, various reputable sites do suggest that it was indeed a thing. But I'll leave this query here just in case it attracts the attention of anyone else looking at family links between forgemen.)
