When I read the beginning of Othello's sentence, I couldn't help but think of the current administration. Its drives to amass wealth is at the heart of its actions.

Othello, identified as Black in Abbé Grégoire in his 1808 "De la littérature des Nègres," wrote two essays on slavery in the early American republic.
