Primaries are so much more important than ppl realize. Had more leftists/progressives voted in the 2016 and 2020 primaries, we could have been under a second Bernie term rn, Trump wouldn’t have taken office, and hundreds of thousands more would be alive right now.

What we need in 2028 if we want to win is a young, genuine, anti-money in politics, anti-war, peaceful dove, Bernie-type candidate... I think someone like Andy Beshear and/or AOC.

Incumbents around the world have been losing elections bc of covid’s economic impact. The Biden/Harris administration passed some good legislation, like the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure bill, and they were surprisingly good on unions and labor protections.

He dropped out right before the DNC, which gave little time to do anything but to prop up VP Kamala Harris. What he should’ve done was announce that he was not seeking reelection, and then in the primaries we could have had the chance to choose a genuine progressive.

Against his 2020 promise of being a one-term president, Joe Biden sought reelection and won the 2024 primaries, and until his disastrous debate performance, he and those around him ignored the very real possibility of losing.
