The entire bill is redundant (covered in the CCC) and why the @blocquebecoiis.bsky.social isnβt asking for its entire withdrawal is beyond me. It is terrible legislation, a religious exemption for Jews to torture Palestinians should be your first clue. #cdnpoli

Can @thestar.com un-paywall this article which is arguably the most important Carney story of the Budget?

Itβs really disappointing the assumption that people can only understand one language. @ndp.ca

"This project does not have the support of Coastal First Nations," he says. Adds no proponent, no route, no money.
He has some strong pedigree and supporters for sure!

The other three⦠seem like nice people.
I tuned in late so about an hour behind but the lack of French language from so many of them is not great.

And the French is just⦠how do you honestly run for leadership when you cannot even speak the bare minimum of one Canadas official languages.

And the number one determinant of gender equity in a country is how strong its civil society organizations are.

When Carney's first cabinet did not have a Minister for WAGE, my colleagues & I sounded the alarm that it was a huge π©; that he doesn't understand the importance of having gender based analysis.

It's insulting that we have a legal system that doesn't understand how the human brain behaves during a traumatic event.
And we should *all* be concerned by the chilling effect because it means people aren't coming forward which means we're not apprehending people who are committing profound harm.
