Perea is good. Should have played more in 2024, IMO. David Lee’s next move of getting a DM or an AM to replace Sands is the signal. Also, Santi needs to put in DP production w/o Maxi on the field.

Any idea of potential salary change with the extension to 2028? He can back from Rangers a $1 million dollar man, curious if he’d have to come back as a DP from this loan…

Actually think this is bigger news for Perea. I still have Hawk leaving as well on my 2025 Bingo card.

I updated my College Scouting dashboard with a filter so you can see just players who are attending the MLS College Showcase ahead of the 2024 Superdraft. By selecting the "yes" button, it limits the player list to just those invited.

Both of their 2024 contracts are cheaper & don't have the DP tag that Thiago Martins has for context. The only real threat to be picked off of NYCFC is Jovan, but kinda convinced there's a lot of smoke there which might dissuade San Diego from selecting.

Per @urielliugt on the other site, Palmeiras has offered NYCFC $6 million and a 50% sell on for Julian Fernandez. If true (and I don’t know if this source is legit) it would be the right move to take it.

Julian is a solid player but stuck in the rotation, and the value is more than fair.

Maxi Moralez & Luis Barraza are both possible Free Agents in 2025. If David Lee brings either back it will be very indicative of what other roster moves might happen. My desire is Maxi is brought back & Luis is traded to an MLS team for Garber Bucks.

I don't think any of those guys will get 1st team minutes in 2025, but happy to be wrong.

Haak & Sands are doing so well this playoff run. Pair that w/ Gray having an amazing season, the homegrowns are showing out. Next generation is going to have to fight hard to get on the '25 roster (Baiera, Shore, & Corrizo).

Totally, always happy for a player to try themselves at something bigger. Just concerned with what direction this means for the NYCFC roster in 2025. He's one of the older players, don't know if fans can take another "reset" at a high value offensive position

Ummm, if Cushing goes back to England in '25, I'd kill for Curtin to manage NYCFC. Against the Pigeons, he's 11-2-11. And to cap it off, seems to like developing young player talent.
