That’s a fab review @johnrobbofficial.bsky.social - I’m not a massive Oasis fan & I didn’t go to any of the gigs, but it’s refreshing to read an honest, unpretentious, down to earth review that didn’t try to philosophise or apologise.

This is fantastic and should be echoed by every council in the country. I'm wholly, angrily sick of the divisive, whining grievance narratives that are allowed to fester and propagate on rotten platforms like Facebook and are all too often aided by certain compliant sections of the news media.

Whilst I’m not a massive fan of TG or P-Orridge in any way, I find it incredible that the Guardian thinks him ‘not seriously important in either art or music’ ! I saw PTV in the 80’s & it remains one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to. The world is better for the likes of Genesis P-Orridge.

According to local ‘gossip’ - ‘Pot Shop Paul’ is in some very long running dispute with the council (I have no idea what that is about) & refuses to paint his shop or tidy up or make any effort in any way whatsoever - but continues to piss off everyone - including The Magpie next door….

May 1989 - we’re supporting the Stone Roses for the third time….their album has just come out, the gigs are tiny but packed and the whole musical landscape has just changed in front of our eyes…..
