tldr, i refuse to accept the bs with the elementals in canon writing and have my wol work on fixing things herself since the writers clearly can't do that themselves. the incident in Quarrymill radicalized her after she, as a white mage, wasn't allowed to talk to the elementals and do anything

- and that the elementals themselves are greatly misunderstood and even the hearers misinterpret them. she thinks the older elementals are more prone to violent measures, and that the hearers aren't really doing their jobs properly and are failing everyone who wants to call the Black Shroud home

L'azrael didn't grow up in the Shroud, but as a white mage and having befriended quite a few elementals (and being bonded with an air elemental who was later corrupted into a light elemental due to the events of ShB), she thinks that many bigoted Gridanians use them as an excuse for their hatred -
