If you love to write, it's not really important how it's consumed. You are doing that for you 😊

today is my 40th birthday. to toot my own horn a bit, I'm the happiest, healthiest, and most successful I've ever been, so I'm going to indulge myself and do one of those "40 things that made me who I am" threads
so buckle up (or mute me for the next little bit 😆)
Of course my career/responsibilities have changed in the last ~20 years but I strongly believe that building for the web at that time was one of most rewarding times for me.
17.06.2025 18:21 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I agree with this sentiment. I think I enjoyed the craft more back in the days around Designing with Progressive Enhancement and Responsive Web Design by Ethan. I do think that LLM's are allowing me to experiment with more things outside of web design.

07.05.2025 07:05 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This is really interesting. Have you thought about how to include major modules also? A few days ago just added the link to the nuxt-auth-utils raw readme and it was impressively accurate.

every day the CSS spec moves closer to supporting the Persona 5 menu while web design ethos moves further away from it

Yep, it's kinda sad. I hope they can improve when they have the capacity
Fonts are blocking the render and they take 3x 500kb, also the main 2 js bundle are ~2mb and takes ~4.8sec just for the server response (empty cache)
