There are a lot of snakes around at the moment! We won't go there, but this one, this one is a grass snake and my first ever encounter with one in the wild !!! So excited. Hope you can see it looking like a curvy root in the centre of the picture if you zoom in 🐍

Cycling past a charity shop I stopped to look for a ladder or shelf for plants. I found one for 25. The sales person said it wasn't heavy. I picked it up and it was v. heavy. She said, 'You can take the bus'. I said, 'I'm on my bike'. She said, 'Fetch it later for 20.' Deal. I liked her persistence.

It was a week ago this lovely event happened where we met lots of @magmapoetry.bsky.social readers and poets and new friends. Free Verse Poetry Fair @poetrysociety.bsky.social was a very special day 😍
