This looks so cool. Love the design/outfit (the withered trees are a really nice touch, especially). This kind of ambiguous vibe where the outcome is left to your imagination has always been one of my favorite things in size art.

Whenever I'm gone, I want you all to imagine I was temporarily snatched away by someone really, really big. Maybe someday it'll come true if we wish hard enough... 🤔

There's also a mini size project that I'm practicing for. It won't be done this year, but I'll keep going.

That said, I'm reserving some time to catch up with everyone this weekend, as work is about to change quite a bit, and I have no idea how much this is going to affect my time yet. We'll see!

I'm having a lot of fun experimenting with my art style. Trying different things and liking the results. I'll post some sketches every now and then, because I want to become comfortable with rough work and ditch my perfectionism, as it's impeding my growth.

How Things Are Going: A Thread

I'll continue to be away for some time, as I've been waking up mega early to do at least an hour of sketching every day. It's definitely making a difference, which is to say I've successfully ruined my sleep.

I'm really amazed at how prolific you are without ever sacrificing quality. Congratulations on 1k (you'll surpass it soon)!

I can say without hesitation this is one of the best things I've seen come out of this community, and that's saying a LOT. The size vibes are immaculate, it's incredibly cute, and your art is a treat every time... Plus seeing it in motion is extra nice 💗

Do you have any recurring OCs for size themes? If not, maybe all the ones you've drawn for others recently will inspire you to revisit some of your sketches and further flesh out some of your characters and ideas.

Yes! I'm used to being the tallest person everywhere I go, and on the very few occasions I've seen someone taller than me, that part of the brain just instantly woke up.

And indeed, the bigger the giant, the more strongly I feel. A convincing display of scale and power is so good 😌

Also, don't be afraid to take a break now and then! What you're experiencing may not be burnout, but you need to make sure you don't overdo anything. If you still just feel like drawing, it can be reinvigorating to try a different subject or even just experimenting with new tools sometimes :)

As for lack of focus, do you mean you're undecided or getting distracted easily? With the former, I sometimes go for a long walk and let my mind wander, and what I see sometimes helps with new ideas. Distractions are a bit harder to overcome, but I will say getting proper rest is vital.

I really love these, especially the helicopter one! Something about giant ladies being approached by a chopper like one is greeted by a dragonfly is very fun, not to mention a great indicator of scale. The way she's casually sitting on the building like a soft cushion is also very cute! ❤️

All of this is such a vibe, and I love that you used the word 'awe' to describe it... When a giant is so massive and powerful that they affect everyone around them by simply existing, there is no better term for it!
