Some higher ed organizations who are loudly circling the wagons against federal funding cuts were oddly silent or circumspect about the earlier attacks on CRT and DEI.

I wish there was a better understanding that these attacks are coming because we failed to repel those.

Academia is pretty bad at solidarity. I think the culture is one of many individuals who may happen to share building space, but rarely that those people are ever part of a team working toward shared goals - even within a single department, there is often a sense of many individuals, no whole.

In Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina DACA recipients will lose access to public higher education if DACA goes away.
