Well I finally got around to completing Mega Man X6. It was a good stream experience, and overall I did have fun.

But it doesn't save it from the frustrating level design, the poor English translation, and a penultimate boss that is just not fun to battle.

I'm declaring 2026 as The Year to Clear! Trying the old format of last year of playing retro games for about an hour, but this time in the evening because that's when I'm available. Mega Man X6 is first up on the docket, lets try to finally knock this one out! twitch.tv/OdinSpack

Battletoads Arcade ending scene, "Toadally Awesome! You've whupped the Dark Queen's butt and thwarted her usual galaxy dominating plans!"

If this game was on console I would probably hate it, but as an arcade game I can pump virtual (and unlimited) credits into, it was fine. Great visuals and music, but the stages drag on, and I found it to be frustratingly difficult for a beat 'em up. Probably fun multiplayer though. ⭐⭐

Been trying a thing to beat a game on New Year's, just to kick off the year. I beat Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland last year, this year I played Battletoads Arcade (via Rare Collection 1 on the Evercade)

Tipp saying "farewell, until we meet again", a line "famously" said by Rad Gravity at the end of the NES game "The Adventures of Rad Gravity", and by said I mean there's a literal voice sample in the game and it's become a running joke of mine so it's hilarious it ended up in this game because this game has also become a favourite of mine just like The Adventures of Rad Gravity.

I finished the campaign for Ring Fit Adventure on my new file. I started it and have been playing every day since June 1st, but just a little bit at a time. The journey has had its ups and downs, but I still really enjoy the game!

Time to continue the grind! 🐺
