The foreground is a dark mix of the trees, and houses interspersed with street lights of the well wooded residential sections of east Seattle. In the mid-ground tall office buildings, center to left appear to float on the foreground. In the right hand side several tall red lighted broadcast towers rise high into the salmon sky. Immediately behind the city skyline, thanks to optical illusion of telephoto compression are the jagged peaks of the Olympic Mountains which are silhouetted against the a sky that begins salmon hue that gradually becomes a mix of hues of blue, green, and orange.

A closeup of a zebra swallowtail butterfly with black and off-white (bleached out chartreuse?) wings spread out flat perched on golden iron weed flowers, feeding. It's head has 2 red-brown antennae, the body is hairy which gets longer on the abdomen. The color scheme of the body is similar to that of the wings. At the end of the abdomen are 2 small bright red dots, one on each of wing. Each wing has a long tail with a similar color scheme, giving the butterfly a distinctive flight pattern. The background is mostly darker greens and browns of undergrowth.

A zebra swallowtail, one of the more beautiful and graceful butterflies that can be seen at the local meadow.

A picture of the bright orange Sun setting a little more than halfway below the horizon of the dark waters of Nantucket sound. Adjacent to the sun are bright salmon hues burning through the light haze. Further away the colors are more subdued due to the haze. In top third of the picture the sky is clear displaying light salmon a hue of blue.

Near the center is a white lighthouse, streaked dark colors. Just to the right and positioned a bit more than halfway to the top of lighthouse is the salmon colored Moon, the same color as the sunset picture. The sky is an even colored a light blue/gray with a hue of salmon. The lighthouse and attached building are visible in a line of dune grass that goes for the length of the picture. There is a strip of sandy beach going to the water, which would be dark but for the salmon hue.

A closeup of a freshly bloomed black-eyed susan flower just after an afternoon rain shower. The yellow verging on orange petals have not quite unfurled along their length, and have droplets of water on them. The sepal leaves that protect the petal before blooming are still a fresh green, and are covered in little hairs.
