That may be true for the red, but I regularly have to wait 15-20 minutes for the brown. I don't even think they should wait unless the other train is literally pulling up to the station. If both trains are physically present at the same station, I think you should be able to transfer.

Maybe they could do this at like, a specific station, and then only when they're within maybe 2 minutes of another? It does feel supremely awful when you want to switch and the other train is at the station but pulling away right as you step off the first train.

From my experience in Chicago, what it takes is a community to be sufficiently mobilized, not to expect much to come in from elsewhere.

Why do you think that would be the line for most people?

I would say it is just as homophobic. It's gender essentialism that ignores the existence of queer people in general and queer men in particular.

What's happening with the Chicago Public Libraries right now is terrible. The proposed budget of the city would CUT 89 CPL positions. Importantly, 78 positions were lost LAST year. That would be 167 positions in 2 YEARS while COPS KEEP GETTING MORE MONEY. ENOUGH. SAY NO.
