Gotta be option D right? *puts kettle on for a cuppa and cuddles the dog*
C - try to not work and actually relax tonight but ultimately fail entirely because I can’t get my list out of my head and I’ll be woefully behind before my day has begun tomorrow if I don’t get some things done before my 9am meeting.
B - carry on working now to get ahead of things for tomorrow so it isn’t a total shit show, though I’m feeling on the edge of burning out
A - go to bed early so I can wake up early to get a handle on my day? Even though my brain won’t stop to rest now and will make my day hella long tomorrow.
The workload is piling up faster than I can get through at the moment and I’m not sure how to fit it all in. Which option of the following seems like a good choice?
So they are pretty weird. Sweet with a subtle heat that builds when you eat a few. The manshape thinks they are disgusting and I have eaten 2 packs now.
I get so genuinely excited when I come across new flavours of crisps. Forever the optimist that they will be my new favourite flavour. Hot honey has to be a winner, right?
Trying not to think about how many times I have said ‘that’s a job for January’. It’s gonna be hectic 😬
Also if anyone has tips for best beer places in Walthamstow these days would love some tips! Preferably with WiFi as have work to do before the awards start.
❤️
I think I partially measure success as when the business can run for a few days without either of us. That should happen by the new year if things stay on track
The last holiday we went on was in 2018. We haven’t managed a week off together since starting at the brewery.
Need to keep telling myself that all the steps and work we are putting in will pay off in time and that Al and I will be able to have days off and holidays together again soon.
I’m not sure there has been a day in the last year where I haven’t been flat out working to my capacity. I love that it’s busy and full on and this is the perfect job for my brain but I am going to have to learn to squeeze in some R&R
It could be that waking up to a shitty message when I am really trying my best is what has bothered me, but it’s probably just the case that I need some down time and a holiday to build back up a bit of resilience again.
Have had four vacancies to fill in the last few weeks which had to find time for ontop of my regular day to day job. Anyone who has done recruitment will know how time consuming that can be.
I think people can forget that other people are human, probably very busy and are trying their best.
Seems a growing number of people think it’s a good idea to send shitty messages to a potential employer. I haven’t managed to get back to them within 3 days for a role I had 80 applicants for (didn’t find time until day 3 when I actually closed the vacancy.
Who is GBBFing today?
❤️🍻☀️
Sounds lovely (the pub crawl part). Hope you enjoy!
I think it’s because have to cram 5 days of work into 4. Also everything has broken this week. Can’t wait to do very very little tomorrow!
Only worked 4 days this week because of the bank holiday but why does this week feel like it’s been a month long?
I just waited up until 10pm for a parcel delivery only to get a notification at 10:01 that the delivery has been moved to tomorrow 😤
👋
Be lovely to see you! Don’t rush, I can grab a coffee and hang back if it’s easier. Be good to head in together either way. I should get to Crewe at 8:51
I’ll let you know how I get on. I’m keen to get around the exhibitors before judging starts at 11
I had to do the same. Think mine is scheduled for 9:02. If there is somewhere I can get a coffee I’ll hang back and join you.
I’m changing at Crewe. You getting the train?
Yey! See you there
