"The Corporations don't intrinsically have souls, but they've got rights. The only corpo that contained a soul was Costco - the only one born with a soul. The Chamber of Commerce was empty, you see. These things are just vessels. That's why I'm going to destroy them. Because I hate them."

it's a weird move to make a public announcement quitting the cag saying you don't support what the rc did and saying on a multimillion sub yt channel that the previous reaction is "what they should have expected" and that kind of tantrum would be disqualifying for the format panel but what do i know

sadly rhystic study uhhh.... *checks notes* has financial value so they cannot ban it at this time without first consulting the shareholders

and going next is certainly an option but if that's the 50% of my magic a month, that is easily grounds for finding a new hobby, plus scooping immediately after a rhystic lands is generally seen as in poor taste for the reasons of "what if someone has removal/etc", it's lose lose

the thing is if someone has enough time for one to two games of edh every few weeks or so, and it's decided bc they picked a mono red deck, mulled to 5 and the person who went first slammed a rhystic, and their opponents either didn't have removal or didn't pay, that is a miserable scenarios

it removing from the graveyard as part of the cost also means you can't respond to save your creatures getting eaten, very funny

Hansk, Slayer Zealot
{2}{R}{G}
Legendary Creature — Human Archer

At the beginning of your upkeep, target opponent creates three Walker tokens. (They’re 2/2 black Zombie creatures.)

{T}: Hansk, Slayer Zealot deals 2 damage to target creature.

Whenever a Zombie an opponent controls dies, draw a card.

not quite premodern but i have reap plus another regrowth in this deck and it is insane all on it's own

especially when it comes to comparing to other people too, sometimes play styles just factor in, like i play in a very polarizing way when i play games so it's hard to use the "i did better therefore they are shit" mentality when i might have just high rolled, so if you can approach it with empathy

it's tough! it's hard to see yourself objectively in competition and it's often the most validating thing in a competitive setting but it's important to zoom in to well made individual decisions, some of my best "results" were the product of things that weren't under my control when i competed so

assassin's creed i'm assuming did poorly and despite me constantly loving individual cards designs, having a group of niche players of the largest paper format like the cards is a great way to not sell product, which ofc is sadly the goal, not making a better game 😔

i think the problem is as much as i fully agree (most of the egregious annoying shit is at common), from wotc's perspective (🤮 i know), you're losing the people who draft and the people who just want to keep competitive in standard. too many different things pulling too many ways sadly
