Wind is pounding against the house... I am so thankful that my critters are safe and warm.

13 years ago we took responsibility for an oops-a-kittens. We had the mother and father and five kids. Their father has passed as did his son. Tonight, their mother and all adult kittens are sleeping in my bed. In a real pile. I am thankful the have each other. I'm grateful for them 🧡

I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day. But I want to do some flash anything for each major holiday this year. This is pretty much what my interior of my head looks like 🧡

My friends are cooler than your friends 🐍

A normal sized, human hand holds a very small, crochet stitch swatch pinched between its fingers; as well as a shiny crochet hook, with the measurement, "2.0mm," written on the front, looped through the embroidery floss of the swatch. The photo is in black and white. The yarn is very light and the background is nearly black so only the hand and craft project are in frame.

Settling in for bed and giving micro crochet a try. I found embroidery floss in a box of art supplies so why not. This is a test stamp of basic stitches done with a 2mm hook. This will be a slow going hobby, but I can't wait to play with this more 🧶

Trying

Woke up to a message telling me what a beautiful girl I am.. A week ago I would have written back to sarcastically congratulate them for thinking a dude is pretty..
but someday I'll say that to the wrong person, embarrass them, and get hatecrimed. Feeling vaguely threatened by affection is unfun..

Warm shower before tucking into bed. Liking this Stardew Valley. I'm in my 30s so it took me an hour forty-five to use my pick but I'm working on it. Next I'll figure out how to throw an item away whilst looking in a box.. baby steps hah

I don't have to be ok right now to know I'll be ok later. I've done it before, I'll do it again. Just, not my favorite thing to keep doing.
For now - reset in the shower. get my pets their breakfast. make a little time to cry. manically paint the second floor of my house. tea.

Look! I pretty.

Check out this haunted motherfucker! Recovered from a hospital before it's demolition, this puppy has seen some shit having been a fly on the wall in the OR itself. Once installed and polished, this beast will house medical equipment once again ☠️ Thank you Dennis, it has a very happy home!

Long days - Bug is having a problem with his liver. Lots of travel for vets and specialists. Thankful he is so good in the car

Feeling surprisingly well rested and ready for my only responsibility to be snuggling the Bugman. Though at a balmy -1°, I'm not looking forward to washing my hair this morning. Thankful I'm bunkered down in the warmth today 🧡

Can't sleep. Long bad day, and too much on my mind. So next is a warm shower, a sleep timer on the television, and a warm cat to snuggle.

Long day for a Bug.. he had seizure this morning. We spent all day at the vet. Waiting on blood work. What a day...
