See I’d go further than some and say Trans+ still isn’t good enough because, for all their positives, they still make you get a cis person’s permission to transition. It’s not informed consent; it’s just rainbow lanyard paternalism.

to put that another way: you were made to wait almost 5x longer than the 18 week timeframe in which you were entitled to treatment, for no reason, and you received no apology or compensation

- informed consent in primary care
- bulldoze every gender clinic
- hold inquiries into the abuses that went on there
- apologies + damages to patients denied care
- bosh ✊

If someone wants to transition, at any age and for any reason, that’s their business.

It’s also infuriating that the NHS’ response is “we’ve commissioned another review.” Oh yeah, another review by cis people is it? Should I take the review sublingually or inject it? Just give us informed consent like we’ve been saying for decades!

On the flipside, the DIY scene in the UK is stronger than ever. That’s just, yknow, an interesting fact, something to reflect on.

Plus agents have to reckon with the fact that instead of telling cool stories, your job is “make money for private equity sharks who are also big into fossil fuels/guns/tobacco and who’ll gut your office the second line go down”

bloated agencies sign loads clients to squeeze as much money as they can but have to focus their attention on stars, the whales who make line go up, so agents are overworked while talent are underserved. Unsustainable too: if the whale suddenly can’t work the whole department is thrown for a loop

I’ve also heard from multiple acting agents that private equity buyouts make their job unpleasant. The agency bloats into a blob of sports, digital, presenting, & talent to maximise ROI for the investors. Clear mission gets lost. New bosses don’t know anything about acting, just line go up

Also someone should give Vera several million dollars to make her next movie cause I’ve read the script and it rocks 🤘
