It's worth reading through the whole thing, not just these horrific excerpts. Most important: not a single person -- with the exception of a guy who says he'll turn on CNN if he's out of other options -- gets their news from actual journalists. It's all RW podcasts, YouTubers and TikTok.
Heck even if we go line for line this season with the other heros you listed, Florian got more points then all of them... He is only being beat this season by Gravy, Cindra, Kassai, and Verd. So why are you throwing a pity party over there? Seems like he was a sleeper this past PQ.
Kayo got 104 Points with a 1.5 multiplier. He isn't a problem. Florian got 108 points without a multiplier. Verd got 412. I think we can agree it wasn't Guardian's season so they need more help than just some dreacts.
If Brute became oppressive where one was getting 400+ LL points and they wanted to keep them around but remove the claws play pattern from all of them they would. They banned Winter's Wail so they aren't above banning signature weapons. We don't live in that world though.
So the point I guess I'm making is that banning BrB early would be the biggest let down of people watching and waiting for KayoAD to LL for the last two years...
However, if any earth hero LLs, that does absolutely nothing to any of the other earth heros or classes. They don't even primarily use their own weapons...
Understand, a lot of people are looking forward to the day KayoAD LLs because BrB doesn't even need to get banned. Just the removal of claws shakes up the brute game plan across all the heroes enough that it's an entirely grouping of subclasses.
Not to mention they try to keep the gamestate fresh and enjoyable for most of the community which harkens back to the point of the BnR
They could have also just let him LL with stack Florian. I'm glad we have devs who pay attention to the game state and try to keep some heros around for our enjoyment/investment longer than a year...
So if you want, they could have left him alone and this might have been his last RTN season... Reminder he is at 800 LL points and not protected by the .5 multiplier anymore. That's doable in 1-2 weeks of RTN.
So if we only target Verdance's arcane and nerf Gravy, and Cindra the only thing to hold him back in a week is Oscilio. Maybe Fang if fang is still alive in this meta...
Verdance's power was too strong and I'd argue Florian's power was ready to come through when Cindra falls. The only thing holding him back was wizards (Kano LLed btw), cindra, and maybe gravy? Not saying talishar data is be-all end-all but he wasn't weak...
When claws are gone, they might not need to ban BrB... Just look at how the non-claw builds are running. There isn't enough natural go-again in them.
Of those you listed, the only one I'd agree on is Ira. Kayo has to discard a card leading to self fatigue rather quickly plus build his deck entirely around 5+s which include a lot of 0 and null blocks. Same as others you mentions plus they they start at lower life...
Also the whole point of the BnR was to hit the reliability of the top heros: cindra doesn't get a ton of free extra draconics, mario a bunch of free dagger retrieval, earth decompose on defence, and gravy chart which is kinda every everything in a card...

Do we play the same game? Most heros need to jump through a hoop to have a decent hero power or it can be prevented by the opponent...
Defending isn't a problem, completing the quest (decomposing) while defending is the problem. I do think people were saying rootbound was a problem before btw, a lot of people were saying this when Florian was 16 dreacts and a runechant stack...
The first set it would really make sense to tease all the commons and rares early and leave the Ms and Ls for WP...

It just read like attack actions are wizard now, which means wizard is runeblade. I hope I'm just reading into it tho
I'd agree with the melding too, I think another melding was Channel the Mill Tree. Why does every earth hero get to amp? That should have 100% been just a wizard/earth wizard thing. What about earth makes runechants be worth more than 1 damage each?
