It's also important so as to avoid self-plagiarism, I think.

Royal Bank of Scotland banknotes ยฃ5/ยฃ10/ยฃ20 showing animals mackerel, otters and squirrels respectively.

We've had beautiful wildlife banknotes in Scotland for a while. Little works of art

Sheffielders call everyone love, and sometimes flower. I've heard poppet too, but that's used more for children.

I feel for the BBC archive staff in this; a dispiriting story of senior management getting twitchy about people even knowing that archive material is there, presumably being told that one *can* expose the metadata without having to open the files but deciding it's simpler just to hide it all.

Poster for Queens of Albion. A photo of Stephe, wearing a bronze sequinned jacket, sitting in a circle of rocks, her arms outstretched. Text reads: Saturday 11 April, 8.30pm, Rise @ Bluebird Bakery, York, YO24 4HD

Coming soon to the gorgeous Rise in York!

How come we've forgotten the story of our first, fiercest mythic mothers? Queens of Albion sets the record straight - as well as spilling the beans on how a giant made me miss my ninth birthday party.

A three panel comic by @alibeehaw
Panel 1 - drawing of Stede dressed as The Gentleman Pirate. The speech bubble says โ€œsomething extremely stupidโ€
Panel 2 - Ed in his leathers with his eyes wide open with a โ€œโ€ฆโ€ over his head
Panel 3 - Edโ€™s brows are furrowed in confusion with a โ€œ?!โ€ over his head. This panel has a rainbow overlay

I canโ€™t watch this scene without thinking about this perfect comic by @alibeehaw.bsky.social

I have seen a lot of cursed stuff in my time in academia but this is among the *most* cursed.
Grammarly is generating miniature LLMs based on academic work so that users can have their writing โ€˜reviewedโ€™ by experts like David Abulafia, who died less than two months ago.

Request that all Yorkshire Catherines automatically get tickets for #WutheringHeights. I've no idea how many Yorkshire Heathcliffes are knocking about although my great grandma did work for one in Huddersfield, so.

Where is the Dark Academia novel in which Dark Academics spend 80% of their time writing grant applications to the Dark Funding Council and most of the rest being harrassed by Dark ResearchFish (RIP)?

The UK shouldnโ€™t rush to a social media ban for children under 16 | LSE British Politics Australia's ban of social media for under 16s has re-ignited the same debate in the UK. Sonia Livingstone argues that more evidence is needed before such a ban.
