A big problem with the boat strikes is that they are, at least opertionally, very similar to what the US has been doing in the Middle East for 20-30 years. But "martial law" is entirely different. As is "cancelling elections."

in any case, Trump is in poor health, and there really isn't a viable replacement, esp. because Trump himself isn't viable. He's been so over-the-top corrupt that there _will_ be a backlash. Let's not forget he lost in 2020.

The biggest problem is the media.

Right now, the GOP literally control all branches of government, and still Trump is floundering. The key is making sure that votes are what matter, and not money.

It'll require a leadership change in the Democrats, but it's possible.

The path back: and the Dems have to be aggressive
- win the midterms
= impeach Trump,.again
- rather than giving up on the public, assume the public wants him gone
- impeach Clarlence Thomas,
etc.

America is still fundamentally sound, if we can get rid of Trumpism. But there need to be a lot of reforms.
