She says she’s going to be paying off her house and other expenses for the rest of her life and at that point she’s never going to enjoy retirement. Doesn’t help she didn’t get it in full because they keep raising the age to retire.

I’m grateful to have had these last few weeks with my mom and give her a vacation but I think I’m more worried for her now than I was a few year ago. Caught a glance at her bank and she had maybe 3700 to her name, less now after visiting, and that’s with pinching pennies and doing virtually nothing
