It sucks because GO is the only way for someone like me who doesn't have any of the Switch games to collect Pokemon.

The thing with MahoAko is that it's an ecchi show first, and a yuri show second. You could change the FeMC to a guy and nothing meaningful about the show would be lost, hell I'd argue it'd be even more popular since the gooners would actually have someone to project onto within the show.

Look at the yuri series that have gotten mainstream success recently, Witch of Mercury, I'm in Love with Villainess, Bloom into You, MagiRevo. None of them have what I would call the "male gaze." I think yuri writers know their audience and it's not horny men.

That's true. Sailor Moon had a pretty prominent lesbian couple within the main cast and that was a Shoujo work. There were a lot of works during 90s and early 2000s that you could argue having the "male gaze," but those were mostly relegated to OVAs or the R18 type sites, aka, not mainstream.

Maybe during the 90s it was, but modern yuri is largely written by women, if not lesbians.

That makes sense. It's just that, all the horror stories I've seen of people buying cards online and getting shafted has made me absolutely terrified of buying online. Although, in your case it's not the retailer that screwed you over.

Personally, I'd say the added price is worth it to not deal with BS. The only time I'd buy online is when the cards are cheap (~$5) because even if something happens it won't hurt as much.

It's shit like this that has caused me to only get cards at Local Game Stores. Yes, it might be slightly more expensive, but Imma be paying way more than that if something happens when buying online, and I'm gonna have to waste my time trying to solve said issue.

Glad to here it's a really fun game. I love TCGs and the more there are, the better. I might check it out!

How do you feel about Alpha Clash? I heard about it a while back, but I didn't really follow the game after that.

I have 9 currently, and building 10th, still trying to pull the cards though.

The fact that Pokemon that are originally from Champions can't be moved from there makes me hopeful that we CAN set those stuff freely.

Yubel is pretty cheap for a meta deck, and Fiendsmith Yubel dominated the TCG for a while, so if your goal is to not get slammed, I think that deck is your best bet come Feb. 7.
