Heat pumps are the most efficient heating technology ever invented.

They harvest and compress pre existing heat in the air, ground or water and transport it where it is needed.

That energy is all around us. It does not have to pass through the Strait of Hormuz or any other geopolitical chokepoint.

‘A few beatings won’t kill you’: judge rejects divorce request of woman abused by husband in Afghanistan Under new Taliban laws, a husband is allowed to beat his wife as long as it is not done with ‘obscene force’, which the woman must prove in court

Graphic titled “We think people using mobility aids should be allowed to get away from danger at running speed”

A young woman using a manual wheelchair with a power attachment is under a streetlight in the dark. There are a group of people standing just outside the light, looking threatening or at least intimidating. The woman’s eyes are wide with fright.

At the bottom, hashtag MobilityJustice and the Wheels for Wellbeing logo

All Disabled people should be legally able to speed up to "running" or "cycling"-equivalent speeds to get out of danger, whatever mobility devices we're using, at all times of day and night, and wherever we are travelling.

Reaching net zero by 2050 ‘cheaper for UK than one fossil fuel crisis’ Climate change committee finds move to renewable energy would also bring health, economic and security benefits

Our dependency on fossil fuels makes us vulnerable. Wars across the world are pushing up prices for households in the UK.

Why keep waiting for the next crisis? We need to transition to clean power as fast as we can to protect people and our economy.

Image shows Sian Berry stood to the left of campaigner Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah, and surrounded by a group of clean air campaigners. All of them are smiling and holding a copy of Ella's Law - the Clean Air (Human Rights Bill). Image shows Rosamund Adoo-Kiss-Debrah sat next to Sian with a copy of Ella's Law on the table in front of them. They are both reading the Bill that is named in memory of Rosamund's daughter Ella who died aged nine due to exposure to air pollution.

Ella’s Law has been published 👏

No child should have the growth of their lungs stunted because of dirty air where they live and play, yet this is the reality of air pollution in England. Ella’s Law would change this.

My thanks to Rosamund and all the hard-working campaigners demanding change.

Reeves reaffirms commitment to end windfall tax in talks with North Sea bosses The Chancellor met figures from BP, TotalEnergies and Serica in Downing Street.

I'm dismayed by rumours govt may scrap the windfall tax on oil and gas giants

With energy bills still driving cost of living pressures, it's senseless to cut taxes for highly profitable polluters, who already receive £2.7bn per year in tax breaks

Trafford budget: £12m EFS & 7.5%ct⬆️

"A #Labour government that lived up to its name would be working day and night to tackle this inequality."

Why did @traffordlabour.bsky.social not even attempt to respond to @greenparty.org.uk criticisms? No one from Labour defended their own government!

A Guardian graphic showing a change in European gas prices between 7 December and 1 March. The title reads "European gas prices have surged in response to the Iran conflict". The subtitle reads "Netherlands day-ahead contract, € per megawatt-hour". A red line on the graph steadily rises, peaking at just over 40 at the end of January, then falling again throughout February. The line steeply increases to over 44 on 1 March.

Today’s Spring Statement comes at the same time as skyrocketing oil and gas prices, following Trump’s strikes on Iran. Meanwhile, unemployment is forecast to climb to 5.3%.

There is something the UK Government could do that would help...

Turns out lowering bills, protecting the NHS and rebuilding our public services is really popular.

This is just the beginning - people are seeing through the attacks and demanding something better.

And we're making hope normal again - together.

A child wearing a breathing mask holds up a sign saying "Diesel makes kids sick".

Dieselgate should be history by now, yet it's an ongoing health scandal.

Between 2009 & 2024 excess diesel emissions caused a staggering:
🚗 16,000 premature deaths, &
🚗 30,000 cases of asthma in children.

We need dirty diesels off our roads. Sign today! bit.ly/m4l-diesel-p...

Confused about Green Party drug policy? Here's a good overview.

Asusual, Greens are leading on the way, having the difficult conversations and proposing serious policies that will save people's lives and reduce crime.

Green Party drugs policy isn't about being soft on drugs. It's about being smart on drugs.

Take the market out of criminal hands. Make drug use safer when it happens. Get people help when they need it. Focus police on the traffickers causing real harm.
