Possibly the worst printing disaster in local newspaper history.

Wheezing at Ronly Honly Bing. It reminds me of this all-time classic.

It was great when you couldn’t tell the political persuasion of a journalist, presenter or newsreader.

A neighbour on WhatsApp has said he hit and killed a deer in his car despite going β€œonly” 60mph. Biting my tongue (figuratively).

Not a single UK city, not even London. Shameful.

a person holding a green object in their hands with the words purest g written above them Alt: Lord Percy’s alchemy results in Blackadder II.

Yes, I think we’re a bit more purest green than gold atm.

The club is in Northumberland Park, named after the Dukes of Northumberland, the Percy family, who owned it at one time. Harry Hotspur was Sir Henry Percy, heir to the Duchy of Northumberland*. Hence the Hotspur name.

*As was Lord Percy Percy of Blackadder fame πŸ™‚

The β€œdelights” of Welwyn Garden City. It was filmed in pubs there & in Letchworth.

A film that takes place where you’re from.

I really enjoyed that adaptation. Saoirse Ronan and Florence Pugh were great. Watched at an Everyman, can’t remember the menu!

Honestly I watched so much dross in person in the 90s, I feel I’ve done my part. I don’t mind losing when we’ve had a go, but these turgid, negative, cowardly performances are too much.

So for my mental health I’m watching a child die of tuberculosis instead.

Watching Jane Eyre on a big telly with popcorn and beer. I imagine it’s what Charlotte BrontΓ« would’ve wanted.

Fucking hell. Gonna delete this game without watching and go mop a floor instead. This is untenable.

I finished a week of so ago. I think the story builds but probably not quite as strong as Tsushima. I did like the variety of side quests though, bounty hunting is challenging and fun.

How are you enjoying it? (Yotei obvs, no-one could be enjoying the football).

I’m watching the rugby because I like to be entertained by sport. Recording the NLD, will decide whether to watch or keep deep-cleaning our utility β€œroom” (basically a corridor). From current reports, sounds like the latter will be more fun.

I like the link-up on both sides, especially Odobert/Udogie. I think if they click, and get their overlapping runs working, we could have some joy.

Yeah, we’ll see I guess! Xavi has been looking better and better. I think if no-one has a brain fart and Richy decides to have one of his rare good games, then we have a chance.

On past performances, I’m not optimistic on either of those fronts. But COYS!

23.11.2025 16:25 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

I can understand the selection. I do like the idea of Udogie and Spence as wing-backs, and Kudus and Odobert are probably our best wide players atm. A lot depends on whether Richy can take his chances…oh no

That’s true. Although I imagine it was a pretty cheap meal back then. Eating out was a rare treat when I was a kid.

I guess it’s like a deconstructed cheese and pickle sandwich. I like both, but a really good ploughmans and decent ale in a country pub garden on a sunny day is hard to beat (imo).

I’m sorry but you are entirely wrong on this. It does stand or fall by the quality of its constituents though. A bad ploughman’s is a sad thing.

I can’t imagine people didn’t eat bread, cheese and pickles before the 1950s. A good marketing name.
