essentially, yeah. the pigment embedded into the paper is heat sensitive.

No ink (zink short for "zero ink" - just the paper which is something like 50p a sheet on Amazon here (but you can get it cheaper elsewhere)

It's probably a Zink printer - they're thermal so don't last forever but great if you just want little fun stickers on occasion.

Usually you do speak to the venue. They may have accessibility tickets available but they should also have their own accommodations procedure.
