It’s dawned on me this morning that Oasis splitting up and Tottenham’s last trophy were a year apart. No wonder I can’t process 2025 emotions.

There was a jaw-dropping example in @theschoolofgood.bsky.social’s book where someone was unable to choose “Dr” as a title in a dropdown list because they’d previously selected “Female” in the gender field. Whether gender should exist as a form field at all is whole thing anyway.

I wrote this on my sofa at half one still drunk and ecstatic. Despite the wavy head I’ve been buzzing all day from last night. Every video has caught me out again. The whole thing was electric, and notably because the entire crowd was on a high that I suspect (like me) some thought they’d never get.

Headache is one word, so I’d go with that.

I admire the limited series approach now. “We’ll get this all done in a handful of eps” is akin to pitching a film now, given where the budgets are, but is only fuelling the No Originality in Hollywood fire.

While Chernobyl was incredible, I don’t think a single series show can be held up (or maybe scrutinised) the same way. For my money Succession is up there, despite having some of the pitfalls you’ve gone into later in the thread.

It’s almost impossible to quantify the amount of joy this man brought to the world. RIP.
