he finally gets the regulator (comfortable in the knowledge that the people remember sphene is dead) and joins moku at the funeral. and then. <3

artoirel needs more time to get used to the idea of being married (and losing someone he loves), and he doesn't want to tie the knot until things calm down in ishgard (a Feat that depends on the view of a high strung man with 2 jobs that makes mountains out of molehills). so steph goes back for 7.1

steph goes home after dawntrail. artoirel is also fucked up by the thought steph could've died there, and also gently tries to get him to get a regulator, despite everything. steph finally agrees, but only because post living memory, people aren't forgetting the dead anymore

moku doesn't take steph to living memory, but when the first person she meets is a blonde elf who has missed his beloved over and over again after they got distanced in life finally wanting to propose to them, but needing help finding their wedding ring. she is feeling emotions

gulool ja is being shown around tuliyollal by wuk lamat and koana. steph and moku hang back just a little, with steph's prosthetic arm around moku's shoulder to help with balance

a different angle, showing moku's disquieted face more. she is holding onto steph's prosthetic hand to keep him steady. she's so thrown off by this that koana is being a goober in front of her and she isn't even looking

the same scene, but focusing on steph, who is looking down at gulool ja. he knows a thing or two about having so much responsibility on your shoulders. he's lucky enough to have a great family, but he looks at president baby and thinks about what that level of stress did to his fiance (who he still has not called to inform about the arm situation)

there's a little time between that and showing gulool ja around tuliyollal. steph is able to get a prosthetic from one of the contacts he made while working on help for people with levin sickness. more on their internal thoughts here in the alt text

in the first attack on solution nine, steph is severely injured. he is able to protect a person he is with in the moment, but his entire left arm is unsalvageable. his ring is missing and they can't find it anywhere. moku is very shaken up by almost losing him.

sphene gets attached to him (especially when she learns he might be able to help) and she begs him to become a citizen of alexandria before Things Go Down. both sphene and moku are trying to get steph to also get a regulator. he is not comfortable with possibly forgetting the dead and refuses

moku and steph in the s9 residential radius. moku is decked out in metalic ruby red and silver, and steph is in metallic cobalt green pvp modern fashion gear. he is examining his own outfit while moku leans back with her arms crossed
