If there was a way to stop that I'd be all for it but I don't think there is a lot of political will for that right now (I've already pulled the fuse on my EV telematics tho)

We are pushing for that but with some stipulations like they must be produced in Canada, using as many Canadian parts as possible, no 'spyware' (aka telemetry back to the Chinese gov), that kinda thing. The CAN auto industry would throw a massive fit, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
