Daidai, the developer of horror game The Aquarium Does Not Dance, doing an end card for #watatabe is fitting, and the manga adaptation is running in Dengeki Maoh.

I feel like Steph might be a Hungarian refugee but I can't remember where I got that idea. There was a refugee crisis created by the 1956 revolution and a portion of them went to America.

One of the girls gets assigned a 30 page report on the Little Rock Crisis, so it's after 1957, but presumably close. There's also a bicycle which is from that period.

Yeah, I think Seven Seas can be forgiven for thinking it was Europe as it doesn't feel American. Later on there's a big plot point involving a Franklin half dollar in Ruby's Xmas collection.

The art style is very nice.
The unfortunate thing about the research is that she read books about British schools and then chose to set the story in America lol

The mangaka's pen name is トール (Tōru), which I noticed is apparently a possible reading for 博, the kanji used for Hiro's pen name.
Tōru is the Hepburn romanization of トール, but I'm not sure what's appropriate here as there's a number of reasonable possibilities, such as Thor or Tohru.

There's a new series called Shita Kanda Toki to Daitai Issho by Hiro (of Akebi's Sailor Uniform) about an editor who wants to get a mangaka to start working again. It's on Our Feel, a josei web manga app/site from the Feel Young editorial team.

That one-shot was the first time a trans character was in a Yuri-Hime story: the protagonist's older brother. (issue 7 would have the first trans lesbian: Aika from Ayumi to Aika)

These lines got changed in the tank version so her ambition was to make Japan a nation that acknowledges romantic freedom, starting with her school. That tank, Shoujo Bigaku, had an unusual amount of text revisions.

I just remembered the 2nd issue of Yuri-Hime having a one-shot by Chi-ran where the love interest introduces herself by saying her dream is to be the first female prime minister and make Japan into a lesbian heaven.

Or rather a series of shorts.

Seems like Tsukumizu will be starting a short series next year. Depicting a world headed to apocalypse, so it sounds like it's a GLT prequel. It was announced as part of how Kurage Bunch will mark its 12th anniversary. GLT was one of the early series for Kurage Bunch.

I'd guess the current series that aren't yet ready to finish will be moved elsewhere and have the tanks get published. I definitely want the stuff Minoda Kaidou has been doing to get collected.

Rakuen will be ending early next year. It's a really good manga anthology published 3 times a year. Editor Takashi Iida pitched it to publisher Hakusensha as a seinen version of Feel Young, and intended for an audience with an even gender mix.

Yeah. Asumi-chan started 2 months after TSYWT. There was at least one issue where an TSYWT chapter ended and the page opposite was the start of an Asumi-chan chapter.

This was kind of the Yuri-Hime reading experience.
