“WHO manipulated science to promote its propaganda during the pandemic” Exclusive interview with Dr. Jay Bhattacharya: how WHO manipulated science during the pandemic, the challenge of restoring trust in the NIH and the future of global health policy.

In a great win for academic freedom, NIH director @drjbhattacharya has removed the old rule that research manuscripts by NIH scientists must be approved by their superiors before they could be published.

The Semmelweis Effect and The Great Barrington Declaration A lesson from the Semmelweis effect is to not reject contrary ideas out of hand and rely on one’s authority as a proxy for scientific truth.

"The parallels between Semmelweis’s story and the Great Barrington Declaration (GBD) authors recall the adage that history may not repeat itself, but it sure rhymes."

RIP Dr. Thomas O'Brien, a pioneer and giant in the field of antimicrobial resistance, with worldwide impact. One of the friendliest, most curious and funniest scientists I have worked with.

NIH issues new policy to speed access to agency-funded research results The 12-month embargo period before manuscripts resulting from NIH funding must be made publicly available is removed.

Excellent news from NIH Director Monica Betagnolli that all NIH funded research must be freely available to the public as soon as it is published.
