I have to admit

Prior to this trip, I’d never even heard of bat-eared foxes. Our guide was so excited as they’re typically incredibly skittish & would normally run upon spotting our vehicles

We were just metres away, watching them sleep

Good luck driving around Botswana haha, I’ve yet to make it out without popping at least one tyre or getting stuck at least once per trip 😂

I love going on evening walks…especially when the one asking me out is a leopard

Vamos was quite happy to show us her favourite trees as she scratched up on them while inspecting her territory

The foxes were so unbelievably cute! They’re also usually incredibly skittish, but for whatever reason felt comfortable with us this evening and just sat around with us haha

We left the first kitty to sleep, now joining his mom, Vamos, for a walk through her territory

With the sun setting, we turned around, but not before stumbling upon some insanely cute bat-eared foxes

While not wild, leopards here have over 22,000 hectares of land to roam freely in the Okonjima reserve, & all human interactions come only in the form of research - so they’re about as wild as can be

Especially uncollared ones, like this sleepy boi
